For Autumn’s Leaves of Change
Nothing Should Be Clung To as I, Me or Mine. Buddha

What this means to me …

Fight with all your might
Decide which fights are winnable
and when to walk away
remember to salvage what you can
sometimes no one ever wins
walking away isn’t losing or giving up
it’s using your intelligence and heart
Play fair even when others won’t
Do it for yourself not for them
and because it is the right thing to do

Don’t get caught up in self
Don’t listen to your thoughts
they pop up and are untrue
learn to trust your intuition
Give yourself a much needed break
every day
love yourself
find your passion and celebrate when you do
laugh, dance, sing, paint

Serve others
and promote their talents
by helping them you give back to the world
and promote kindness, faith and hope
think about how you got to where you are today
and who helped you get there
nobody ever does it alone

Live life with great passion
See the beauty; create joy;
Use your voice to raise awareness
be mad at injustice and violence
plant seeds of change one word at a time
one note at a time
one brush stroke at a time

teach others what you’ve seen or learned
and show them someone else’s experience
and perspective
that is our only hope for change
realize that there are always endless possibilities
and nothing ever stays the same

use your strong activist voice
through your poetry
your voice; your eyes
it bears repeating this is our only hope for change
artists; poets; writers; musicians
are careers
even if others don’t think so

No matter how much you’re hurt
love and trust again
Your friends won’t intentionally hurt you;
if they do look for real friends instead
Don’t be a prisoner of your ego; your own mind,
thoughts and fears
This is it; this is life
