A drowning man tries to take
down the one rescuing him down with him
I can no longer try to save you
Please leave me alone

In your eyes I see your selfish need
You don’t really care about me
It’s always been about you
I need to salvage my life
It’s time for you to understand
And leave me alone

How can you expect me to save you
After all you’ve said and done
A drowning man always tries to take the rescuer
Down with him

If you ever loved me
Don’t hang on
Don’t take me down with you
please just leave me alone

I'm an artist, poet, writer, activist and more. I like writing about the ordinary and transforming it to extraordinary, which I think it already is but you may have been to busy to notice. Sometimes I write about politics, love, relationships, and every day strife. If you like my blog, I invite you to follow me. Thanks for stopping by. Peace and great joy to you always! Cindi
