My Breath|

You always serve
me well
Yet do I ever give you
anything in return
You always know
what I need
big sighs
when I’m discouraged
exasperated
deep breaths
when I smell
intoxicating aromas
jasmine
rose
lavender
hot steaming coffee
the ocean air
an empty box
where chocolates once were
I follow you when
I need to regroup
you are my constant companion
my most treasured gift in life
you will always be there for me
until you take my breath away
and I take my final breath

Author: Cindi Silva Poetry

I'm an artist, poet, writer, activist and more. I like writing about the ordinary and transforming it to extraordinary, which I think it already is but you may have been to busy to notice. Sometimes I write about politics, love, relationships, and every day strife. If you like my blog, I invite you to follow me. Thanks for stopping by. Peace and great joy to you always! Cindi
