too much effort|

sometimes it’s too much effort

to click on a link to read what’s there

I’d rather like it instead

sometimes it’s too much effort

to go for a walk

I’d rather  go for a drive

sometimes it’s too much effort

to pick up the phone

I’d rather text you instead

sometimes it’s too much effort

to  wash my hair

I’d rather gather it under a hat

sometimes it’s too much effort

to wake up in the morning

I’d rather never go to sleep

sometimes it’s too much effort

to figure out what went wrong

I’d rather salvage what I can

sometimes it’s too much effort

to figure out what to do next

I’d rather wait it out

sometimes it’s too much effort

to plan out the future

I’d rather revisit the past

sometimes it’s too much effort

to finish what you started

I’d rather get a fresh start

Author: Cindi Silva Poetry

I'm an artist, poet, writer, activist and more. I like writing about the ordinary and transforming it to extraordinary, which I think it already is but you may have been to busy to notice. Sometimes I write about politics, love, relationships, and every day strife. If you like my blog, I invite you to follow me. Thanks for stopping by. Peace and great joy to you always! Cindi
